Passengers aboard British Airways will soon enjoy quick wifi in the air at no cost after a major deal from the billionaire's satellite firm.
No-cost and High-speed Connectivity Across the Board
The airline stated that the complimentary, “fast and dependable” internet provision via SpaceX becomes available to customers flying economy, premium economy, and first class from next month.
Widespread Deployment Over Various Carriers
The holding organization for BA, International Airlines Group, confirmed it had secured an agreement involving the satellite firm to provide internet coverage for more than 500 aircraft operated by their carriers, including the Irish airline, Iberia, plus Vueling.
Smooth Wifi from Gate to Arrival
The airline explained that this rollout for the technology was included in a seven billion pound “transformation” plan and would offer smooth wifi access to travelers starting at boarding to landing, even when in flight above seas or far-off locations.
