Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield
A jet transporting the US defense secretary was compelled to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the jet's front window, as stated by an announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The jet landed based on standard procedures and all passengers, including Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This event is not the first time that a American defense plane ferrying a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was required to turn back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical problem.
