New England matched their top unbeaten stretch since the Tom Brady period as they defeated AFC East rivals the Jets by 13 points in the NFL

First-year standout TreVeyon Henderson was the standout with three touchdowns as the Patriots notched an eight-game winning streak for the initial occasion since star signal-caller Brady's last year with the team in 2019

QB Drake Maye passed for 281 passing yards and a TD, completing 25 passes from 34 throws

Victory extends the New England's lead at the summit of the AFC East as they improved to nine wins and two defeats, with the Jets bottom after falling to two wins and eight losses

The Jets had gone in front at Foxborough with QB Fields scoring a five-yard touchdown to cap the New York's first possession

But the New England answered in the second quarter as the rookie scored two short rushing scores before the ball carrier caught a pass from Maye at the rear of the end zone midway through the third period to extend the lead to 21 to 7

"That was a key occasion for him stepping up, and it's been fantastic for him to keep gaining experience," the quarterback said of Henderson. "He desires to be outstanding."

Fields threw to John Metchie late in the third quarter to close the gap for the Jets but Borregales kicked a pair of field goals in the final period as the home side closed out the triumph
